Certificate in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management

The Association of Business Executives (ABE) Certificate in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management (TTHM) is accepted at many universities and can be used in lieu of the A-Levels for entry.

 

The Certificate programme is run over nine (9) months and consists of the following modules:

  1. Introduction to Business
  2. Introduction to Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
  3. Introduction to Accounting
  4. Introduction to Business Communication

Pathway

Students who achieve the ABE Certificate may use it to apply for a place at a university, or continue to work through the ABE Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management.

Examinations

Examinations are set, organised and delivered by the ABE itself. ABE membership registration is required and examination registration must normally be completed at least three (3) months before an examination is scheduled to take place. This process is done directly with the ABE.

Application fee : £50
Certificate tuition fee : £2,500 (excludes ABE membership and examination fees).

Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management

The Association of Business Executives (ABE) Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management (TTHM) is accepted at many universities and can be used as a pre-requisite for entry into second year of University or the ABE Advanced Diploma.

 

The Diploma programme is split into two parts and run over 12 months:

Diploma Part 1

  1. Economic Principles and their Application to Business
  2. Organisational Behaviour
  3. Financial Accounting
  4. Travel, Tourism and Hospitality

Diploma Part 2

Three compulsory units:

  1. Marketing Policy, Planning and Communication
  2. Human Resource Management
  3. Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Operations Management

Plus any two (2) from:

  1. Managerial Accounting
  2. Principles of Business Law
  3. Systems Analysis and Design

Pathway

Students who achieve the ABE Diploma may use it as professional qualification, or as an entry requirement into either the ABE Advanced Diploma or second year of a degree at one of many universities in the UK or abroad.

Advanced Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management

The Advanced Diploma programme is run over 12 months and comprises:

Core Modules

The following modules are compulsory:

  1. International Travel, Tourism and Hospitality
  2. Sustainable Tourism, Planning and Development
  3. Strategic Hospitality Management

Elective Modules

Please select two modules from the following:

  1. Strategic Marketing Management
  2. Managing in Organisations
  3. Strategic Human Resource Management for Business Organisations
  4. Managing the Information Resource

Pathway

The Association of Business Executives (ABE) Advanced Diploma in Travel, Tourism and Hospitality Management (TTHM) is accepted at many universities and can be used as a pre-requisite for entry into the final year of University. With relevant work experience, the ABE Advanced Diploma can even gain you entry into a MBA program at various UK universities.
