University Foundation Studies (UFS)*

This is a required component for students of non-native English-speaking backgrounds and is taught over one academic term. Warnborough College provides an intensive academic programme to prepare students for acceptance into a British university.

Emphasis is on English for Academic Purposes, Research and Study Techniques, IELTS preparation where necessary, and Western Heritage. The UFS is an effective bridging programme that introduces students to study techniques required at a British university. It helps to improve English language proficiency and promote critical thinking.

Students are assessed for language proficiency upon arrival to determine the level of support needed. The UFS programme is compulsory for Certificate level students. It may be a requirement for Diploma or Advanced Diploma students depending on the Admission Officer's assessment. Additional terms may be requested by students, if required, or if deemed necessary by the College.
